GETTING AWAY
| Last of summer it was so hot and humid in the London
| of
|
| that by August I felt I really couldn't bear it
| √
|
| any far longer. I had been planning to take my
| |
| holiday in September because of we were very busy at
| |
| work, but I was so tired out of the heat that I asked
| |
| for a couple of days off, threw some clothes into
| |
| a suitcase and took off the train to Cromer, which is on
| |
| the coast of Norfolk. Many people think about that Cromer
| |
| is too touristy to be attractive, but I found out it full
| |
| of beauty and charm. It's true there were a lots of
| |
| people there, but the beach is so big that by
| |
| walking for ten minutes you can escape all the
| |
| crowds. There are also some too lovely walks along the
| |
| tops of the cliffs, with magnificent views along
| |
| the coast, and the countryside inland it is very
| |
| lush and green. Best of the all, it's much cooler there
| |
| than in London – so for a pleasant break, try Cromer.

A BALLOON TRIP
| A few of years ago, when I was living in Kenya, some
| of
|
| friends and I decided to hire a balloon so that we
| √
|
| could go sightseeing over the Lake Rudolf. We decided
| |
| to hire the balloon without a pilot since that one of us,
| |
| Henry, claimed that he knew what to do already.
| |
| At the first we were sceptical about his claims, but he
| |
| managed to persuade us, and eventually we set off,
| |
| very early in the morning, with Henry been in charge.
| |
| The view of the lake it was spectacular – the
| |
| sunlight glittered on the water and herds of
| |
| hippopotamuses fled when they saw us coming. Jeremy
| |
| said that he wished he had brought his camera with.
| |
| Everything had went well until a sudden gust of wind
| |
| blew us down towards a small wood on the shore.
| |
| Henry was unable to do anything to stop from the descent,
| |
| and we found ourselves to crashing through the branches
| |
| of the trees. That was the last time we went for ballooning!
