§ 11. Составное сказуемое включает в себя модальный и смысловой глаголы. Модальные глаголы не обозначают действие, а выражают отношение к действию.

Запомните следующие английские модальные глаголы:
can/could/ - могу, умею /мог/
must - должен
should - следует, должен
may - можно
be to - должен (согласно заранее намеченному плану)
have to - должен (необходимо в силу обстоятельств).
